Horse Racing Betting
Horse racing is one of the most bet-on sports in the UK, and it comes with its own vocabulary, bet types and settlement rules that don't apply to football or other sports betting. This section explains the racing-specific concepts — each-way betting, ante-post betting and best odds guaranteed — plus the settlement rules that decide what you actually get paid when a race doesn't go entirely to plan: Rule 4 deductions, dead heats and void bets, and how a multi-selection accumulator behaves when one of those rules applies to a single leg. All of this is independent of any specific bookmaker, and points you to our current sportsbook comparison for choosing where to actually place a bet.
We're still building out dedicated racing-specific comparison pages (best racing sites, racing apps, best-odds-guaranteed policy comparisons) — those require verifying specific per-operator racing features, which we haven't completed yet. For now, this page focuses on the general knowledge you need before betting on racing anywhere.
